OUR TOURS

From Film to Movement

Melaneyes Media’s documentary Walk on the River: A Black History of the Alamo City inspired a deeper public interest in San Antonio’s Black history.

That work led to the creation of the San Antonio Black History Bus Tours, an educational experience that takes participants to historic sites across the city while exploring stories often missing from traditional narratives.

The tours have educated more than 5,000 participants and continue to serve schools, organizations, and visitors interested in learning about San Antonio’s Black history.
